![]() This project only takes two supplies: cheerios and pipe cleaners! I always try and do my kid projects outside so any mess we make is cleaned up by mother nature! You simply have the kids string the cheerios onto the pipe cleaner, making sure to wrap the bottom of the pipe cleaner around the bottom cheerio so they don’t all fall off. ![]() STEP 3: Add bird seed Slowly tip your bird seed mix into the liquid. If you are letting kids help with this step you will need to supervise them very closely. Spread some love to the birds and create a snack for them using a pipe cleaners and cheerios. Pour 2 sachets of gelatine into the boiling water and stir until all the gelatine had dissolved. I am all about easy crafts that don’t make a huge mess and hold my kids interest for longer than 30 seconds, which is not as easy a task as you might think! This project is a good one because it is both fun for the kids while they are making it, but it is also fun for the kids to wait and watch for birds to come eat them after they are made! You need roughly the same amount of water as bird seed. To make a cheerio bird feeder, have the children thread the cheerios onto the pipe cleaners, leaving about an inch of space on each end of the pipe cleaner. ![]() Hey lovelies!
